The items will be ready for mother’s day gifts. More information will follow. There will be a student assembly on 2/12 for students featuring a comedian. The assembly committee is busy working on ideas for another assembly, possibly with a resident artist. An awards ceremony will be held on 2/19. The school is looking for someone to build a bench for the area outside the new gym – anyone who knows someone handy should seek more information if interested. Mrs. Berlet thanked PIE for the $500 donation for the dedication ceremony to occur on 3/31. 24 frames were purchased to showcase student artwork in the lobby area.
MRS HANLON – Mrs. Hanlon discussed this year’s author visit, to occur March 5th. She thanked PIE for the $1000 donation toward this year’s event. Tedd Arnold will be the author. She noted that this has been the most successful year to date for book sales. She also thanked us for our ongoing support, as author visits may have been discontinued had PIE not offered to help fund them. She will forward volunteer needs to Justine.
