Pennsylvania State Standards For Education
Pennsylvania State Standards for Education
There has been a statewide push in Pennsylvania to have students learning at a higher level then ever before. To help meet this challenge the state has formulated standards that will define what a student would know and do in a core set of subjects by the end of third grade, fifth grade, eighth grade, and eleventh grade. The standards provide consistent targets for students, teachers, and parents to meet. During the course of the year your student will be taking the PSSA (Pennsylvania State Standardized Achievement Test) test and they are directly correlated with these standards for language arts and math. The students will be presented with opportunities to explore these standards throughout the year with journals, hands-on projects, and terminology. We will continue to align our curriculum to the standards to continue learning on a higher level.
