  • Communication is:

    Language- The understanding of messages or verbal expression of ideas.

    Articulation-The movements of lips and tongue to pronounce speech sounds.
     
    Syntax-Grammar-The way sentences of language are constructed using a set of rules such as: noun-verb-obect.
     
    Social/pragamatic language-The use and understanding of social cues, gestures, facial expressions and the ability to use conversational exchange.
     
    Speech fluency-To speak smoothly without interruption
     
    Stuttering-To speak in a way that the rhythm is interrupted by repetitions or prolongations, etc. of sounds or syllables.
     
    Voice-The production of sounds through the mouth through the use of controlled air.
