AP Calculus AB
-
Advanced Placement Calculus is intended for students with excellent backgrounds in Accelerated Algebra II and Accelerated Trigonometry who are planning to take the AP Calculus exam during the spring term. This course covers a full year of college calculus and moves at a faster pace than Course 321, as the teacher’s main goal is to prepare students for the AP Calculus exam. Students are expected to be able to work independently and apply the basic concepts learned in class to more difficult homework problems, take-home assignments, quizzes, and tests. Topics include functions, limits, differentiation, integration, and applications of the aforementioned. This class requires a significant amount of time spent outside of class on completing homework assignments, studying, and remediation, when necessary. Use of a graphing calculator is required. If you have questions or concerns about the class please let me know by clicking here.
