Snowflakes
-
As just one of the holiday projects MAKER Club is doing we've been exploring taking 2D images and turning them into 3D printable objects. We used the website http://snowflakes.barkleyus.com to generate JPEGs of the snowflakes to be printed. For example:We then used a process of converting the images, tracing them digitally, and then extruding them up 3mm to produce our 3D files. They were then printed in white PLA and hung off the tree with care!!The workflow for the project is attached. If you want to create and upload your own snowflake for printing see Mr. Smoyer!!
