One of the goals of creating this project was for it not to be just another math project. While problem solving scenarios from out of a text book is a great way to practice math skills there is truly something special about using your math skills to solve a problem that directly affects you and your family or community.
My hope is that this particular page will be updated on a semester basis as we see some progress made in the initiatives set forth by the Fall 2009 teams. In subsequent years we can hopefully re-examine the data and see if any significant changes have been made in the areas outlined by the project.
