Meet Mrs. B

  • Meet Mrs. B...

My name is Mrs. Bartholomew.  You can call me Mrs. B for short!  I am a 2000 graduate Kutztown University where I earned my BS in Elementary Education.  I also have a Master's Degree in Teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) from Penn State University and the University of Turabo in Puerto Rico.  I've been a teacher at Northwestern Lehigh School District since 2001.  My first year in the district I taught 4th grade at NWE.  The following year I moved down to 3rd grade where I spent three years.  The 2005-2006 school year I served as the district's ESL teacher, working with students in all four buildings.  The next year I returned to 3rd grade at NWE and have been there ever since. Hooray!

I would like to take this opportunity to tell you a bit about myself.  My husband, Mark, and I live in Catasauqua with our son, Braden and Jack Russell named Nittany.    My older brother, Jeff, and his wife, Nicole, live in Rochester, NY with their daughters, Macie and Mady.   I also have two older half-sisters, Tami and Marlo, who are graduates of Northwestern Lehigh High School.  As you’ll soon learn, I’m a huge Penn State fan and anxiously await the kick-off of the football season every year. You’ll also notice that I love collecting “turtle things.”  When I’m not spending time with my family, I enjoy playing volleyball, watching sporting events (especially Penn State and the Red Sox), going to the beach, and dancing.  I also love teaching, of course!
