About Mrs. Kate Pizzelanti
I received my Bachelor's degrees from Millersville University in both Political Science and Sociology with a minor in Criminal Justice. After working for a few years in the business field, I came to the realization that educating children was the path that best fit my personality. It was then that I attended Kean University and received my teaching degree. I began my teaching career in New Jersey, teaching fourth grade during the regular school year and English as a Second Language over the summer. After moving back to Pennsylvania, where I'm originally from, I went back to school to obtain my English as a Second Language certification. It was in 2003 that I started working in Northwestern Lehigh School District. When English Language instruction became a requirement in the state of Pennsylvania, it was a perfect fit. I love the challenge of teaching children the complex English language and opening our district to the diversity in language and culture.
