Lehigh County Family Respite Services - Valley Youth House Family Respite Services
Parents/families that live in the Lehigh County and have a child/adolescent between birth and 21 (if they are still enrolled in school) with a documented mental health diagnosis, including Behavioral Disorders, Mood Disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorders and Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorders are eligible for these Family Respite Services.
Respite services are intended to provide time for parent/guardians to be temporarily relieved from the responsibility to care for their child in order to accomplish necessary tasks or to recover from the excessive stress involved in parenting. Respite is a support rather than a therapeutic service. Hours for respite will be based on the needs of the family and their child.
